Pupil Reports

We are about to review the format of the pupil reports we send to parents in term 6 and would like to get some feedback from parents before we do. We would like to know which parts of the report you find most/least useful. How easy do you find them to understand, does the educational language need to be in plainer English for instance? Wou;d you like them changed in any other way? Please use the blog to let us know your views.

I find the end of term reports very valuable. They provide a clear indication of how the children are performing and give a great opportunity to 'reward'. In my opinion they are well written in a very clear and informative way. The use of the standard 'education system' gradings helps to clarify areas of strength and weakness. Whilst we don't like to 'pigeon hole' our children I think it can help to have some level of comparison or measurement. Please continue with them!

Having been to the most recent parent forum meeting and it being agreed to have a specific focus for these meetings as well as an opportunity to discuss smaller concerns I was wondering if the following ideas could be incorporated;transition from primary to secondary and teaching and learning styles.

What a brilliant Carol evening. It was lovely to see so many children performing on stage with such confidence and enthusiasm. Thanks to the School Society, staff and choir for putting on such a family/village orientated evening. The best so far.
